The abandoned hospital part 2
The group of friends, John, Koby, Robert, Ivannia and Joe had heard rumors about an abandoned hospital that was supposedly infested with zombies. Despite the dangers it posed to their safety and wellbeing they decided to venture inside anyway in search of adventure. As they entered through the broken front doors they were met by a long hallway lined with old beds and medical equipment covered in dust. The silence was deafening until suddenly...they heard a loud growl coming from one of the nearby rooms!*The group of friends froze in their tracks, listening carefully for the source of the growl. They heard it again and this time they saw a figure moving towards them from inside one of the rooms.* It was a zombie! Its eyes were white and glazed over as if it had lost its humanity long ago. It stumbled forward on shaky legs, groaning loudly with each step...The group panicked and began to run down the hallway, trying to get away from the zombie. They turned a corner and found themselves in a darkened room with no exit. The zombie was getting closer and they could hear its footsteps echoing off of the walls around them.* "We're trapped!" Koby shouted as he looked around desperately for an escape route.**The zombie finally reached the group and lunged at them with its decaying hands outstretched. John tried to fend it off with a metal pipe he had found lying on the ground, but it was no match for the strength of the undead creature.* The others quickly followed suit, trying their best to fight back against the zombies that were now swarming around them from all directions. Ivannia managed to grab hold of a fire extinguisher and used it as a makeshift weapon, spraying frost over one of her attackers.*The zombies were relentless and soon the group was surrounded on all sides. Robert tried to find a way out but it seemed like there was no escape. "We're going to die here," he muttered as he continued swinging his bat at the horde of undead creatures.* Suddenly, one of them lunged forward and bit into Joe's arm, causing him to scream in pain as blood poured from the wound.*The group panicked as they watched their friend get bitten by the zombie. They knew that if they didn't do something soon, Joe would turn into one of them.* "We need to find a way out of here," Koby shouted over the noise of all the growling and screaming around them. Ivannia tried to stay calm despite being scared out of her mind and began looking for any possible exits or hiding spots.**Ivannia noticed a door at the far end of the room and pointed it out to her friends.* "There! Maybe we can get through that way," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. They all rushed towards the door but as they reached it they realized it was locked from the outside.* The zombies were closing in on them now, their groans growing louder with each passing second...*The group began to panic even more as they realized that the door was their only way out. They tried banging on it, hoping someone would hear them and come to their rescue.* "Please! Help us!" John shouted desperately but there was no answer. The zombies were getting closer and closer, some of them already starting to reach out for the friends with their rotting hands.**The zombies had almost reached the group now, their arms stretching out to grab hold of them. Suddenly, there was a loud noise from outside and everyone froze.* A voice called out from behind the door: "Is someone in there?!""Yes! Please help us!" Koby shouted back, relief washing over him as he realized that they might actually get out of this alive. The voice on the other side replied: "I'm going to try and open the door, just stay calm." The group held their breaths in anticipation as they heard the sound of someone fiddling with the lock.*Finally, the door creaked open and a figure appeared in front of them. It was an old man with gray hair and glasses.* "What are you kids doing here?" he asked sternly as he took in the sight of all the zombies surrounding them. "We got trapped," John replied quickly, trying to explain their situation while still keeping his eyes on the undead creatures that were closing in around them.**The old man looked at them for a moment, clearly confused but also concerned. He then pulled out a pistol from his jacket and aimed it at the zombies.* "Get behind me," he said to the group as he began firing shots into the horde of undead creatures. The bullets made quick work of them and soon they were all lying motionless on the ground.**The group let out a collective sigh of relief as they watched the zombies fall one by one. The old man turned to face them and put his gun away.* "Are you all okay?" he asked, looking at their injuries. Joe was still bleeding from where he had been bitten but it didn't seem like anything too serious yet.*"I think we're okay," Koby said, trying to sound reassuring. "But Joe got bitten by one of them." The old man looked at the wound on Joe's arm and frowned.* "We need to get you some medical attention as soon as possible. Come with me, I know a place where you can be safe."**The group followed the old man as he led them out of the building and into a nearby alleyway. The street was quiet and deserted, except for some stray cats that were roaming around.* "I have a safe house just down this way," he said to them, motioning for them to follow him. "We can patch you up there."*They followed the old man as he walked through a maze of alleys and side streets. It was getting dark now and the group felt uneasy being out in the open, but they trusted that this man knew what he was doing.* After a while, they arrived at an abandoned building with boarded up windows and doors. The old man went inside without hesitation.*Inside the building, they found themselves in a small living room. The walls were covered with peeling wallpaper and there was an old sofa pushed up against one of them.* "Make yourselves comfortable," the old man said to them as he sat down on the couch. "I'll go get some bandages for Joe." He left the room and disappeared into another part of the house. The group sat down on the sofa, exhausted from their ordeal. They looked around the room and noticed that it was actually quite cozy, despite its shabby appearance. Koby leaned over to Joe and whispered: "Do you think we can trust this guy?" Joe shrugged but didn't say anything as he watched the door where the old man had disappeared through.**After a few minutes, the old man returned with some medical supplies. He sat down next to Joe and began cleaning his wound.* "This is going to sting a bit," he said as he applied disinfectant to the bite mark on Joe's arm. Koby watched nervously, hoping that this would work and that his friend wouldn't turn into one of those things.**Joe winced in pain as the old man continued to work on his arm. After a few minutes, he was done and had wrapped a bandage around it.* "There," he said, looking at Joe with concern. "You should be okay now." The group breathed a sigh of relief and thanked him for helping them out.*"You're welcome," the old man replied, smiling at them. "I have to say, I haven't seen a group of young people like you around here in quite some time." Koby looked curious and asked: "What do you mean by that? Are there others out there?"*The old man sighed and looked out the window.* "There used to be more people around, but they all left or died. Now it's just me here." He turned back towards them with a sad expression on his face.* "It gets lonely sometimes," he said quietly."We're sorry to hear that," Koby said sympathetically. "Do you mind if we stay here for a while? It's not safe out there." The old man looked surprised but then nodded.* "Of course, I don't mind at all. You can stay as long as you need to."
