Ratman: The Cheese Bandit of Grid Paper City (The Story)

In the quiet, slightly crooked streets of Grid Paper City, there lived a very unusual hero… Ratman. With his wiggly blue headband, tiny shirt, and legendary long nose (perfect for sniffing snacks), Ratman wasn’t your typical superhero. He didn’t fight crime… he fought hunger.

Every night, while the city slept, Ratman would whisper his heroic motto:

"No cheese left behind."

One evening, disaster struck.

Old Lady Crumble bottom screamed from her kitchen,

“MY CHEESE IS GONE!!!”

The police were confused. The mayor fainted. The citizens panicked. But Ratman… Ratman sniffed the air dramatically.

“Cheddar… Gouda… and… nacho cheese?? This is serious.”

He dashed across rooftops (okay, mostly tripped over pencils and erasers), following the cheesy scent trail. Suddenly — BAM — he ran straight into a wall.

“Curse you, invisible wall!” Ratman shouted.

(It was not invisible. He just forgot his glasses.)

After recovering with heroic dignity (and a small ice pack), Ratman finally discovered the truth…

The cheese thief… was HIMSELF.

Earlier that night, Ratman had sleepwalked, eaten ALL the cheese, and left tiny crumbs leading back to his own sock drawer.

Ratman gasped.

“I have become… the villain.”

But then he shrugged.

“Eh. Still worth it.”

The next morning, Ratman held a press conference:

“I promise to protect this city… unless the cheese is really, really good.”

The crowd applauded. Someone handed him a cheese sandwich. Ratman ate it immediately… heroically… bravely… hungrily.

And so, Ratman continued his noble mission:

Saving the city.

Eating the cheese.

Running into walls.
